West Chester Mayor Carolyn Comitta and West Chester Borough Police Chief Scott L. Bohn have issued a snow emergency for West Chester Borough. The snow emergency will begin at 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22 and will be in effect until the afternoon on Sunday, Jan. 24.

Because of the snow emergency, West Chester residents can use parking facilities free of charge. Such facilities include the Bicentennial Garage, the Chestnut Street Garage, the Sharpless Street Garage, the Matlack Street Garage, and the Nields Street Garage. These garages will be open until 9 p.m. In addition, all Borough surface parking lots are available for use. Vehicles that are parked on snow emergency routes will be ticketed and towed.

If you wish to sign up for weather and informational alerts, you can do so on the Borough website at West-Chester.com.
