Obama accepts nomination in Denver

On Thursday evening at the Democratic National Campaign, Barack Obama officially became the Democratic candidate for the 2008 Presidential Election. Obama walked on stage to face a screaming crowd of hundreds of people waving blue "Change" posters and smiled humbly, thanking them until they quieted down.

During the current Election year, Democratic candidate Barack Obama has gained popularity among college students across the country. With a new set of first time voters who want the chance to change things, Obama's promise of change seems to be the answer.

All campus events now must end prior to midnight

In a recent email from Dave Tinmann, Director of Sykes Student Union, students were informed that all dance, party and concert functions must end prior to midnight. An "issue" occuring April 4, 2008 caused The Student Program Activity Review Committee to review the previous policy and resubmit it.

Dazed Iraqi teen suicide bomber says she didn't want to die

BAQOUBA, Iraq- The 15-year-old girl had the chubby cheeks of a child who hadn't lost her baby fat when she was arrested Sunday by an alert policeman. Around her chest was a vest packed with explosives. The policeman chained her to the bars of a window, stripped off her dress, found the vest and deactivated the bomb.
