Loving Philly

This is a story of Philadelphia, the city where it all began. Home of the Liberty Bell, the Constitution, the Eagles and Boat House Row, Philadelphia is rich in tradition and history.
However, as the seven strangers of MTV?s "The Real World" take to the streets of the City of Brotherly Love, international audiences get a different view of the city. This season the cast hits popular nightclubs, fabulous restaurants, and explores what?s trendy and hip in Philadelphia.
With "The Real World" attracting so much attention to the city, there is no better time for locals to embark on their own adventure and take advantage of everything Philadelphia has to offer. With a hit show that centers on a young audience, Web sites like www.gophila.com are influencing and attracting young visitors.
Philadelphia offers stateof- the-art sports stadiums, exquisite restaurants, endless shopping and chic nightspots, that allow both the young and old to take advantage of this Pennsylvania hot spot.
Philadelphia is home to two brand new stadiums for passionate and enthusiastic fans. The Phillies? Citizens Bank Park and the Eagles? Lincoln Financial Field have brought new meaning to a day at the field. High-tech facilities and new restaurants are luxurious accommodations to both players and fans.
The nearby Wachovia Center Complex, home to the Sixers and the Flyers, provides a comparable experience. If you are not in the mood for sports, hundreds of restaurants are within a short cab ride.
For a sophisticated dinner, one should make a visit to Morimoto, a contemporary Japanese haven where the Iron Chef prepares the cuisine. For a quick stop that doesn?t cost too much, snuggle up and roast s?mores at one of the many Cosi restaurants found throughout the city.
Of course, no visit would be complete without enjoying a Philly cheese steak. Pat?s and Geno?sSteak Houses are located in the heart of South Philadelphia.
For all the ladies (and men) who like to spend their days adding to the inevitable credit card bill, Philadelphia is also known for its fashionable and trendy clothing stores. South Street, Chestnut Street and Walnut Street are tagged with brand names and the most fashionable attire. Check out Smith Brothers, Boyds Joan Shepp, Urban Oufitters, Diesel, French Connection and many more.
Of all of Philadelphia?s wonderful attractions, the city is known most for its nightlife.
Old City is home to numerous bars on Second Street, including Denim Lounge, World Fusion and Cuba Libre. If you?re looking to sit down and stay awhile, bars such as Bleu Martini, 32 Degrees and Suede offer bottle service. For all the party goers who don?t want their night to end, Lounge 125 is open until 4 a.m.
There is so much to see and do that it is impossible to do it all in one trip. Whether you are in search of the perfect gift, dining in one of America?s best restaurant towns, cheering for Donovan McNabb or relaxing at a mod nightclub, the City of Brotherly Love proves there is something for everyone to fall in love with.
