WCU Rams fall to Valdosta St. Blazers

The West Chester Golden Rams ended their playoff streak in the national semi-fi nals Saturday, Dec. 4 in a loss to the Valdosta State (Ga.) Blazers 45-21. The Blazers had a 31-7 lead at halftime, which turned into a 45-21 victory. The Blazers will travel to the NCAA Division II Finals to play for the title next Saturday.

As sports fans remain shocked at the debacle that was the brawl in Detroit last month, attention should be diverted to what really makes basketball great. It is no surprise that an Eagles team that has wrapped up the NFC East before darkening the doorway of December may have some fans distracted.

Coach Zwaan happy with program's sucess

For football Head Coach Bill Zwaan the PSAC East Championship was a realistic and achievable title for the 2004 Golden Rams. Coach Zwaan, a 1979 graduate of the University of Delaware, has taken his Rams to the next level. Coach Zwaan knows a little bit about winning national titles already.
