'Sex, Love and Civility' coming to WCU

Sex, love and civility. This will be the theme of WCUʼs Civilty Day that will take place on Valentineʼs Day this year. Civility Day is an all-day event that will be held on Feb. 14, appropriately on Valentineʼs Day. This event consists of 50 minute concurrent sessions held in the Sykes Student Union ballrooms.

Plastic surgery spreads to teens

Thanks to the advent of shows like "The Swan" and "ExtremeMakeover," the idea ofplastic surgery is being removed from the realm of Hollywood and placed in the backyard of adolescents across America. Getting liposuction or breast implants isnʼt as notorious as it used to be, and plenty of stories about teenagers going under the knife are easily recounted everywhere from MTV to someone you meet at a party on campus.

Tutoring center offers free help for students

Music vs. Cancer raises money

Every cloud has a silver lining. Thatʼs what Penn State student Matt Kelly and his friends found out through their program known as Music vs. Cancer, an organization that takes money made from concerts and donates it to charity, specifically those involving cancer.

National Condom Day set as Valentine's Day

If youʼre planning on buying flowers, candy, and condoms for Valentineʼs Day, then the Wellness Center has created the perfect free gift for you. On Feb. 9 and 10 from 11-2 p.m. in Lawrence Hall, the Wellness Center will be promoting "Sex and Candy Grams," which includes a personalized valentine, chocolates and a condom flower for the one you love.
