Who knew that Long Island had another beautiful creation to offer the world besides their iced teas? Taking Back Sunday was formed in 1999, and in December of 2000, after completing its lineup with Adam Lazzar (lead vocals), Fred Mascherino (guitar and vocals), Eddie Reyes (guitar), Mark OʼConnell (drums) and Matt Ruban (bass), their hardcore, harmonious sounds hit the studio to record their first demo.
Kildareʼs in West Chester has proven to be a hot spot not only on the weekends, but also on Tuesday nights, drawing all types of crowds for their ever-popular open mic night. Hosted by the barʼs house band The Space Monkey All-Stars, the open mic night is now surviving its second year, and if there is one thing that it has proven, it is that the longer the show lasts, the larger the crowd it attracts.
