Michael Jackson, "The King of Pop," is putting on one hell of a show. Unfortunately, his fans arenʼt standing to greet him outside of a concert, but outside of a court house. Since his molestation trial began, Jackson has been up and down on the "weirdness scale." Some felt that "Wacko Jacko" was going to be on his best behavior after the judge gave him a warning for his antics of dancing on top of an SUV. However, Jackson seems to be going back to his old ways and many think his behavior will be the deciding factor between a conviction or acquittal.
On March 10 all were anxiously awaiting the crux of the case to begin with the accuser taking the stand. Instead, the morning began with a bench warrant being put out on Jackson for once again being late for court. His attorney, Tom Messarau, stated that Jackson was admitted to the hospital for back problems earlier that morning. However, the judge wanted Jackson in court and gave him a time limit, or his bail would be revoked and Jackson would sit out the rest of the proceedings in prison. Jackson arrived just after the grace period with his full entourage. TV viewers and those outside of the court house watched as Michael Jackson emerged from the black SUV looking very unkempt and disshelved.
He walked gingerly into the courtroom in his pajamas and slippers. Many were concerned, until Jackson swiveled around to wave to a screaming fan. That is when speculation began that Jacksonʼs back was not injured, but possible had been a ploy to leave the accuser unable to speak when scheduled.
However, Jackson did enter thecourt and the accuser testified. Jacksonʼs accuser, now 15, spoke about very graphic matters that ranged from viewing adult material on Jacksonʼs computer to Jackson telling him if he did not masturbate he would get to the point where he may "have to rape a girl." Throughout the questioning, the accuser painted the picture of a young boy who truly did love Jackson but was taken advantage of. The prosecution focused on the fact that Jackson served the boy alcohol, which he called "Jesus Juice," and that is why the accuser ʼs recollection may be, as he put it, "dream like."
