West Chester University student, Catharine Small, recently joined the entrepreneur world by becoming a local distributor for Slumber Parties. Slumber Parties, one of the fastest growing home-based companies in the United States, provides a great opportunity for women to earn extra income. The idea behind it is quite similar to a home-based kitchen or make-up show in that a distributor shows products to people gathered in a friend's home. These in-home parties are only for women age 18 and older.

As featured on NBC's "The Today Show" last November, Slumber Parties educates women by providing them with information on how to improve their romantic relationships with lingerie and other pleasure enhancers. It also allows women to get together and enjoy a fun evening. Private one-on-one ordering with a distributor permits women to experience new products, yet still keep their romantic relationships discreet and personal.

Small first became involved with Slumber Parties in early Spring 2006. She owns Slumber Parties by Catharine and runs it as her full-time job. From Slumber Parties she receives a 40 percent buying discount and free products at the end of every month. "I do these parties because I can make my own hours and earn an unlimited income. I love the flexibility because no employer wants to hire a college student who has no set availability," says Small. She also states that she makes up to $100 per hour on some nights, which adds up to $400 per month. She earns a substantial income by only doing a few parties a month.

Slumber Parties recently started Slumber Parties Actively Restoring Character and Spirit (SPARCAS), which is a non-profit organization. Slumber Parties and its distributors strive to provide women with services the will empower their lives by building their family's character and restoring their spirits. "I am really looking forward to working with other local Slumber Parties distributors in hopes of empowering other women who are in need of assistance. I am eager to get these projects started in this area," comments Small.
