Stephanie Kienle and the West Chester Lady Rams continued their dominance over the rest of the PSAC this week, disposing of Shippensburg and Bloomsburg rather effortlessly by a combined score of 38-10.

This week marked the second time this season that West Chester defeated PSAC rivals, Shippensburg and Bloomsburg in an impressive fashion.

On Wednesday, the Lady Rams traveled to Shippensburg, as they attempted to reenact the teams last meeting in which West Chester dominated 23-6.

What must have seemed like deja vu for the Lady Raiders of Shippensburg, West Chester pounced early and often. With hat tricks from Chrissy Kane, Stephanie Kienle and Mandy Masoner, and a solid game in net for Mary Beth Green, the Lady Rams easily won the game 22-2.

On Saturday, the Lady rams faced a streaking Bloomsburg team, who were coming to West Chester riding an impressive four game winning streak. This would be a test for the Lady Rams, who could easily overlook an improved Bloomsburg team who they trounced 22-2 early in the season.

Bloomsburg started out of the gate fast, taking a quick 3-1 lead. Yet the Lady Rams did not buckle under the offensive pressure and responded with five goals in the next 10 minutes that pushed the score to 6-3. West Chester never relinquished the lead as they went on to win 16-8, putting a halt on Bloomsburg winning streak.

Stephanie Kienle had six goals and three assists to lead all scorers, and Mary Beth Green made six saves to boost her record to 11-1 on the season.

With these two wins, the West Chester Lady Rams are only one win away from their fourth consecutive PSAC title. With three games this upcoming week, including one against winless Slippery Rock, it is very likely the PSAC title will be defended.

The Lady Rams play next on Monday against IUP, then travel to East Stroudsburg on Thursday and return to West Chester for the season finale against Slippery Rock on Saturday.
