Forensics Team succeeds in National Tournament

Ending their season, the members of the WCU Forensics team completed in ninth place at the National Forensic Association Championship Tournament.

Dan Blomquist, a third year political science major and member of the Honors college, made it to the quarterfinals round of the tournament. The tournament ranked him within the top 24 collegiate speakers in the categories of Extemporaneous and Impromptu speaking.

The team's total score in the tournament was above prestigious universities such as Cornell University, Ohio State University, and the University of Pennsylvania. The tournament took place in Rome, Georgia from April 19-23, 2007.
