The West Chester Lady Rams came into this past week with one goal in mind; to win one of their remaining three games to clinch their fourth straight PSAC title.

In keeping with the theme of the season, the Lady Rams did it on the first try and in dominating fashion. They defeated IUP 22-7, clinching the division title, as well as home field advantage through out the tournament.

The clincher did not stop West Chester however, who continued their momentum into the post season with wins over East Stroudsburg, 22-4 and Slippery Rock, 26-2.

On Monday, IUP visited West Chester with a chance to prolong the Lady Rams' title hopes another game. But West Chester's defense had other plans as they forced IUP into a astounding 33 turnovers, 26 in the first half.

It was this defense, along with 17 goals in the first half, that propelled the Lady Rams into an easy victory.

Jackie Baker led the Lady Rams to victory with five goals and one assist, and Mary Beth Green got her 12th win of the season.

Despite clinching the division three days prior, West Chester showed no let down as they continued to dismantle the rest of the PSAC, specifically East Stroudsburg.

Baker and Stephanie Kienle were stellar, collecting seven points each to lead the Lady Rams to an easy victory. West Chester controlled the game from beginning to end, with the final score 22-4.

Not the clinching of their division, nor the final game of the season against the only winless team in the PSAC, could distract West Chester from their supremacy.

Saturday's season finale against Slippery Rock was over before it even started as the Lady Rams were up 18-0 at the half. 15 different Lady Ram's got on the scoreboard as West Chester said goodbye to the regular season beating Slipper Rock, 26-2.

The Lady Rams will face fourth ranked Shippensburg Lady Raiders in the first round of the PSAC playoffs. The game will take place Tuesday at 4 p.m. at West Chester, the winner moves on to the championship game Saturday, May 5 against either Lock Haven or Bloomsburg at the highest remaining seed's home field.

By advancing to the championship game once again in 2007, the Lady Rams extend a decade of dominance. Perhaps more impressive is the fact that the Lady Rams have won 49 of their last 50 conference games.
