West Chester University is in the heart of lively Borough of West Chester. However, sometimes it is easy to get caught up in the same-old routines. So why not add a little pizzazz to your life?
If you find yourself doing the same thing every night and weekend and complaining about the outrageous costs of entertainment, the fun you're seeking is just a short walk away. Take a walk into the town of vivacious West Chester and find some inexpensive amusement. Gear up for some fun filled events this fall in this buzzing town.
This October, get your spook on with the West Chester Cultural Center. In honor of Halloween, the Cultural Center, located on the corner of High and Chestnut Streets, is hosting the Ghost Tours of West Chester.
Ghost Tours is a chilling 90-minute guided tour through the mysterious lanes of historic West Chester. Here is the chance to learn where Revolutionary War soldiers fought and died just a few blocks from the streets you walk every day. Hear tales as you pass by the areas where their spirits may still linger in the night.
Other stories of phantoms and ghosts from famous haunted places will have you shaking in your Crocs. Jason won't be jumping behind you with a chain saw, but these true tales are sure to send chills through your spine.
On a lighter note, Sprazzo's, a dolci, gelato and espresso bar, sits on the corner of High and Gay Streets. The beautiful, warm and inviting atmosphere is a quaint place to relax and take a break from the hussle and bussle of the streets of West Chester.
Sprazzo's is the perfect place to catch up with friends while enjoying a nice treat. The upper level offers bistro tables with wireless internet access. If a person is sick of the library, sit down with a hot latte and do some research or write a paper. The upper level of Sprazzo's also features live music on Friday evenings and Open Mic nights on Tuesdays.
Similar to Sprazzo's, Fennarios, a coffee shop, is also a great place to hang out. Fennarios is a small town favorite, with delicious and unique espresso drinks, and coffee that is out of this world.
