It was a slow week for the Lady Rams volleyball team, who fell in their only match of the week Tuesday 3-0.

The girls just could not muster up enough strength to down the Shippensburg Raiders, who remain unbeaten in PSAC east play this year at 9-0. The Rams never gave up, scoring over twenty points in each contest, but the division leaders were just too much in the end, sending three girls to the double figure kill mark.

Leaders for the Rams included Kristen Decker with twelve kills and Jaqueline Vivanco with sixteen digs.

With the loss, the girls fall to five hundred in the division standings, just one game ahead of Millersville. With only two division games remaining, West Chester needs to win one of them to guarantee the last spot in the PSAC playoffs.

The Rams will take on Cheyney, who is 0-8 in league play, Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Hollinger gym.

Along with the two league games this week, West Chester will also take on Philadelphia University and the University of District of Columbia. The girls can still tie the school record for wins at 28 if they win all four games this coming week.

The second releasing of the Atlantic Region polls showed the Rams ranked at number seven once again.
