Mens and women's cross country teams compete in NCAA II Regional playoffs

The 2007 Men's Cross Country season ended on Saturday at the NCAA Division II East Regional Championships. The Golden Rams finished in the top half at 12 out of 24 teams competing with 289 points.

Out of the 172 runners, West Chester had three runners finish in the top 65.

Finishing with a time of 31 minutes and 50 seconds, Tommy Pearson came in 11th. In 45th place, Matt Langdale finished with a time of 33 minutes and 21 seconds. Matt Casey finished in 65th place with a time of 33 minutes and 46 seconds.

Leading the pack with 47 points, the Edinboro University Fighting Scots finished in first place. Edinboro had seven runners finish in the top 30, including two runners in the top six.

The 2007 Women's Cross Country season also ended on Saturday at the NCAA Division II East Regional Championships. With 384 points, the Glden Rams finished 14 out of 24 teams.

Continuing her impressive freshman campaign, Brigid Prufer completed the race in 22 minutes and 42 seconds and finished 27th in a field of 175 runners.

Ther Bloomsburg University Huskies finished in first place with 62 points.
