To The Editor:

As I woke up this morning, the day after the county elections, I was surprised to see the low voter turn out again. What really shocked me was when I was voting at my local polling place, I noticed just how many senior citizens were in attendance. Where were the students, the working class, the stay at home moms? We have been witnesses to the passing of the Greatest Generation before our eyes, what happens when the "Voting Generation" passes as well? Will our government then be chosen on the votes of a small percentage of the locals with vested political interest? Is everyone else just lazy, cynical, ignorant? Or are you just trying to prove that democracy is dead? Pick your poison, but what is your reason for not voting?
