Second-year student Tiffany Savage was hit by a car at the intersection of Price and High Streets on Tuesday Nov. 27 at approximately 4 p.m.

Third-year Madison Moser who was driving nsrth on High Street to class saw Savage get hit and heard her body hit the ground. At this point, Moser parked her car in the Burger King parking lot and ran across the street to help.

"I called 911 as I was running," Moser said.

Moser said that Savage's leg was bleeding and asked around for a t-shirt to quell the bloodflow. Moser then took her own shirt off to apply pressure to the bleeding.

According to Moser, the person who hit Savage while coming off Rt.52 stopped and was very upset. While Moser was helping Savage, the person who struck her was on the phone receiving instructions to help Savage.

Moser said that Savage was struck approximately one foot from the sidewalk.

Moser and another man repetitiously asked Savage her name and how old she was to keep her from going into shock. Moser said that Savage was responding to the questions.

The paramedics, according to Moser, came within five minutes.

"It was the longest five minutes of my life," Moser said.

Savage was life-flighted to the hospital, according to Moser, but she is unaware of which one.

According to Moser, Savage was undergoing surgery as of Thursday Nov. 29.

" I hope that she's ok," Moser said. "I hope that she knows people stopped to help her."

Moser has not heard any specific information on what kind of surgery Savage is undergoing.

"It's something that I hope any one would do for somebody else."
