Collegiates can't find the time to keep up with the news, but what happens when the news catches up to the students?

HotNewz.TV is the newest "fast-paced, informative and entertaining innovative dot TV channel specifically designed for the 18-26 age group," explained CEO Phillip Anastos in a letter to The Quad.

Launched on Monday, Jan. 21, this program displays student reporters from around the world speaking about world events that students should know about and entertainment they love to hear. The reports speak on topics that relate to most college students such as college, careers, money and entertainment.

Anastos stated that the channel is delivered with attitude and wit. So far, that channel is reaching 30 percent of the U.S. college audience.

Made possible by the partnership with The University Network (TUN), HotNewz.TV is displayed on more than 280 campuses across the country on large LCD screens.

The company is welcoming students contributing their video reports, making these students eligible for awards recognition and scholarships. These students will also have the opportunity to receive feedback from the Emmy Award-winning news professional staff.

As if this involvement could not get any better, one of the industry's top talent agents, Ken Lindner, will be scouting while watching student reporters on HotNewz.TV searching for a future star.

Students interested in becoming a HotNewz.TV reporter should check out their website, www.hotnewz.tv. Producers are looking for stories, interviews, documentaries or anything else that will grab attention.
