Science minor pending PASSHE approval, aimed to enhance education degree

A new minor in science education is in the approval process with PASSHE in Harrisburg to be offered at WCU in the Fall 2008 semester with the intention of reinforcing elementary education majors' degrees. Versatility is an ever-increasing value for teachers emerging from college looking for employment in the world of No Child Left Behind and the possibility of facing new systems based on merit pay.

One day after the Democratic debate in Cleveland, Ohio between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, Pennsylvania State representative Barbara McIlvaine Smith (D.) stopped short of endorsing either candidate during a visit to West Chester University. She praised both Democratic presidential candidates during a visit to a public affairs writing course at WCU Wednesday night.

OCCA renews pretzel project, alcohol safety awareness
