Second-half surge pushes West Chester past division rival East Stroudsburg 34-24

In a pivotal PSAC Eastern Division match-up between two teams looking to advance to the re-emerging Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championship game, the West Chester University Golden Rams (4-2, 3-0 PSAC East) defeated the previously unbeaten East Stroudsburg University Warriors (5-1, 2-1 PSAC East) 34-24 in come-from-behind fashion Saturday afternoon.

Women's soccer remains unbeaten despite close call Wednesday

For the No. 9 women's soccer team in the country, winning has become routine. However, this past week, there was a slight deviation from that plan. The key word is slight. While recording wins in the second and third games of the week was the norm, the team played to a tie in their first match of the seven day span.

The Golden Rams men's soccer team won two key PSAC match-ups this week, 2-0 over the Shippensburg Raiders and then 2-1 over the Mercyhurst Lakers. The newest edition to the PSAC this year, the Mercyhurst Lakers, traveled to West Chester on Saturday in a cross-divisional match-up.

The West Chester University field hockey team had an exciting weekend. The Golden Rams topped St. Francis (Pa.) 2-1 in overtime Friday afternoon at St. Francis. Lauren DuBois scored the first goal in the 12th minute of the game off of a rebound shot from Desiree Walker.

The West Chester University men's hockey team opened its season this past weekend at home against Lehigh and West Virginia, and will head into next week's ACHA Showcase with a surprising 1-1 record. The Golden Rams opened up their season on Friday night with a match-up against an ECHA conference foe Lehigh.
