Dear West Chester,

Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful and restful fall break; I know I sure didn’t. What with school work, catching up with friends and family and trying to fit in as much as I could, it flew by before I could even relax. But hey, Thanksgiving break is right around the corner… right?

I’d like to take a quick moment to give a shout out to our new features editor, Zoe, who moved up from being a copy editor this week! That being said, we are sad to say goodbye to our former features editor, Amanda, who had to step down due to time issues. Though she will be missed, we all look forward to working with Zoe in her new position. Speaking of which, we are extending interviews for a new copy editor into this week, so if you’re still interested, email me at [email protected]! I personally started out as a copy editor and loved it; it’s a great way to make a little extra money and get your foot in the door here at The Quad, especially if you like editing.

As for our issue this week, we have tons of great articles. If you’re a sucker for dogs like I am, check out “Greek Life Partners with SPCA for Hot Dog Event” by Olivia Bortner on page 2 for a great article and some cute pictures (especially if you liked our front cover, which how could you not?). If you’re getting into that Halloween spirit, check out Maria Marabito’s article “This is Halloween” on page 17 for a brief history on the holiday.

That’s all for this week, folks! As always, may your classes be good to you and your workload remain manageable.
