Dear West Chester,
Happy April! It’s spring, and the weather is finally starting to warm up. Despite our issue coming out on the 3rd, we have a tribute to April Fool’s in this week’s entertainment section. Shout out to Eric Ryan, who always comes up with hilarious headlines that make our staff laugh every Sunday—it was his idea to create The Onion-esque section for this week.
Some exciting events are coming to campus! This Tuesday, the wonderful author Laurie Halse Anderson will be on campus at 3:30 p.m. in Main Hall. I personally love her work and am planning on attending; keep an eye out for an article about her visit in next week’s issue!
Finally, congratulations to Lauren Detweiler on being elected next school year’s Editor-inChief! Like me, Lauren started as a copy editor and made her way into the Op-Ed section editor position. Due to personal reasons and school workload, I will be resigning from my position at The Quad once I finish out this semester. It’s a bittersweet moment, but I know that she will do an excellent job. We are well on our way with training, and she’s already doing so well.
