Dear West Chester,

Happy fall! I know I mentioned how excited I was in my last letter, but the excitement has doubled since it’s now official. Be sure to check out Casey Meyer’s article “Five Ways to ‘Fall’ in Love around West Chester” on page 11; it has wonderful ways to get in that fall spirit all around the borough and beyond whether that be through grabbing a fall-themed drink at Fenn’s or traveling into Philly to go to the Eastern State Penitentiary.

Beyond fall-themed activities, we have a slew of great articles for the reading this week. If you liked the front cover (I know I personally love it), check out page 3 for an article by Chelsea Edwards on how the Brandywine Valley SPCA is taking in dogs from Hurricanes Irma and Harvey. Plus, we have a familiar column showing its face again: Window to West Chester! Since our old Asst. New Editor has been studying abroad in London, our Asst. Photography Editor, Alex Breth, has stepped up to the plate; he now takes care of the writing as well as the photos! I highly recommend checking these out to get a better feel for your fellow students at West Chester University.

We have a huge issue this week filled to the brim with great articles, so make sure to give them all a read-through. Plus, I can never reiterate this enough: We are always looking for new contributors! If you’ve ever thought about writing but were nervous about sharing your voice with thousands of students, don’t be; it’s not as scary as you think. In fact, it’s extremely freeing knowing you shared your opinion with your peers and faculty, so I say again—consider contributing!

As always, good luck in your classes as we delve further into the semester.
